Links

Here’s a few links to sites that I like:

Ravelry
Ravelry is a knitting a crochet community, but also has weavers and spinners living there too. It’s an amazing site as there’s loads of brilliant useful forums, a massive pattern and yarn database, and lots of other fun things too.

Clyde Coast Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers
I’m a member of the Clyde Coast Guild of Weavers, Spinners, and Dyers. We aim to enhance our knowledge of these crafts, as well as enable others in the local community to have a go to. On our site you can find details of what we do and how you can get involved.

Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners, and Dyers
This is the site where you can find out information about all other Guilds in the UK and the online Guild. It also has information on the Certificates of Achievement in weaving, spinning and dyeing as well.

Old Maiden Aunt Yarns
Old Maiden Aunt produces unique and beautiful yarns in West Kilbride Scotland. The colour of the hand-dyed yarns are gorgeous and the yarns themselves are very squishy too.

Once A Sheep
My local yarn shop which is run by Karen who’s great at ensuring a warm welcome and the chance to squidge and buy lots of lovely yarn and weaving and spinning kit.

Chookiebirdie
Lorna is another talented crafter based in West Kilbride. She produces fantastic decorative gifts and accessories using gorgeous tweed and felt.
